Luckily, I have gained some inspiration from the short documentary, Iris, on Netflix. Iris Apfel is a style icon who has been rocking the most outrageous outfits for the past 94 years. Learning about her life and how she wound up becoming one of the most recognizable icons in fashion has given me a new appreciation for textile and color. Plus, she has some great insight about life and personal style. While I'm certainly not ready to toss aside my beloved staples, I am ready to incorporate pieces that are a little louder and crazier. I'm beginning to really understand what it means to have your style reflect your personality. While I may seem quiet at first, once you get to know me, there is a sillier and louder side of me, too. Why not reflect that in what I wear?
