While the summer program is over and I became more adept at delivering instructions and handling challenging behaviors (thank you revolving seating charts, warning systems, and positive reinforcement), one thing I couldn’t figure out was how to stop my feet from aching by the end of the day. Many of my trusty pairs of shoes were simply out of the question because of Seattle’s summer heat wave, so I was on the lookout for a alternative. Fortunately, I found a solution in these navy espadrilles, on sale at my neighborhood shoe store, with real soles (not just raffia!) and comfortable footbeds.
I know summer is coming to a close for many, but I’ve always been a believer in late season (read: sale) purchases. If you’re looking for some pretty summer shoes or are thinking ahead to next year as a replacement for the ones you wore out, here are a few worthy contenders. If you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear! (Just remember to raise your hand:)
P.S. If you've already got summer shoes covered, I'm excited to wear these boots this fall.
