This in mind, I was excited to hear about The New Yorker Minute. It's a free weekly email newsletter that tells you which New Yorker articles are worth reading (so that you can slowly recycle that stack currently tall enough to serve as a nightstand).
If you're in the mood for reading, here are two articles I'd recommend:
“The Fate of a Joke in Lebanon” by Elias Muhanna, on artistic censorship
“Flick Chicks” by Mindy Kaling, on brainstorming romantic comedies she’d like to write
Would you try The New Yorker Minute? What magazines do you read?
P.S. If you'd like to have Left Coast Other Left posts sent to your inbox, we send out a weekly digest email on Fridays. Sign up using the form in our right sidebar!
